Helpful Hints

PLEASE DO NOT ADD A DUPLICATE ACCOUNT FOR YOUR FAMILY, THIS IS MEANT TO BE ONE ACCOUNT FOR

FAMILY THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL. 

  • To add your student click the Register link on family account.
  • Add a physical date after you register your student. Must turn in MEDIACL ELIGIBILTY FORM (PAGE 5 OF NEW MSHSAA PAPERWORK- MAY 2023), AND ANNUAL PRE PARTICIPATION FORMS (3 pages), email to office or upload to account. 
  • Your student isn't registered until you hit the Submit button on last page.

TRYOUT/PRACTICE INFORMATION BEGINNING February 26,2024

ATTENTION: MSHSAA HAS REFORMATTED THE PHYSICAL PAPERWORK. THIS MUST BE USED AS OF MAY 1, 2023.

 

  1. Parents are to complete registration for any athlete who wants to tryout in a sport for each season of play (Fall- begin Jul 1, Winter about mid Sept. and Spring in Jan). The questions and information needed will need to be completed with parent and student input.
  2. Spring Sports Begin Feb. 26, 2024 Deadline to register for these sports is 2/21/24 Registration may be competed before impact testing and you can upload physical prior to submitting registration. The earlier the registration is submitted the sooner we know they will be trying out
  3. Spring Sports- Baseball, B Golf, G Soccer, B Tennis, B and G Track and B Volleyball
  4. Registration is open . All MEDICAL ELIGIBILITY AND PRE-PARTICIPATION PAPERWORK and Impact tests need to be completed by 2/21/24 and on file with Activities. Clearance emails will be sent beginning when registrations begin coming through and up to date of tryouts, once all requirements are met. Grades will be checked to make sure at least 3.0 credits were earned the Winter Semester ending in 12/2023 for 2023-2024 school year.  Registration will be checked for completed submission, MEDICAL ELIGIBILITY AND PRE PARTICIPATION FORMS ARE UPDATED AS OF APRIL 2023, must use new forms for 23-24 SY. Impact testing needs to be up to date.
  5. All FINES MUST BE PAID before the athletic clearance will be given. Emails will be sent with any problems- no MEDICAL ELIGIBILITY FORM ON FILE, no impact test, student fines. 
  6. Please be aware if registration is not submitted we are unaware your child is wanting to tryout. You must register for each season of play.   Once you complete the registration you should receive an email from Rschooltoday that this has been submitted.
  7. Fall Sports Begin August 12, 2024

    THE DEADLINE CUT OFF FOR REGISTERING FOR 

  8. The above deadline allows the office to double check all requirements and get the Coaches the reports they will need on Day 1 of tryouts. 
  9. Get a physical exam. Take the proper form with you. No other form will be accepted. WE DO NOT ACCEPT  PHYSICALS FAXED FROM THE DOCTORS OFFICE. It is required before beginning any sport to have a valid Medial Eligibilty Form-signed by your doctor,and Annual Pre-Participation paperwork on file in Activities Office. Medical Eligibilty and Annual Documents may be uploaded (PDF document only) to your family athletic registration account. If you do not have access to upload the form to your account you may bring those to the Activities Office in person and they will be added to your family account. When this is completed you will have access anytime by signing into your account. Please keep a copy for your records. 

    A valid medial eligibilty form will now be good for 24 months (unless indicated by the Doctor on form) and must be completely filled out and signed by a doctor.

  10. Student must have earned at least 3 units of credit the previous semester of sports participation. They must be registered as a full time student and enrolled in enough classes to be earning at least 3 units of credit. 
  11. The grading eligibilty periods are August-Dec., grades will be checked last day of this semester for eligibility to finish Winter season and for Spring session of sports , Jan-last day of schoool, grades will be checked for eligibility for the next school year Fall and Winter Seasons.  Summer school you can earn 1 unit of credit for Fall/1st part of Winter season eligibility
  12. Fines must be paid for students to tryout for athletics.
  13. Complete an Impact Test with the trainer. These are good for 2 school years. Ideally they will take them in Freshman and Junior year. Some exceptions to that could be: if you didn't do any athletics your freshman year and you tested as a 10th grader, you moved here and are a new student, or if you tested as an 8th grader, you would then test 10th and 12th grade years. If unsure please contact Activities office. 
  14. Be sure to complete all required information. Student isn't registered until you hit the submit button. 
  15. Final step will be a clearance email we will send to you and the coach. This will happen after your student registration has been looked over for all accurate information, medical eligibility has been verified, impact test has been completed, eligibility has been confirmed and fines have been checked and cleared. They may not participate in tryouts until they are cleared by ATHLETIC OFFICE.
